Umalas, Bali: a neighbourhood guide to life around Jalan Bumbak
Umalas is where Bali slows down. A walk down Jalan Bumbak, past the cafés, spas, gyms and shops that make daily life here so easy.

Where Bali slows down
Umalas sits inland between Canggu and Seminyak, in the Kerobokan area. Instead of beach-club bass you hear roosters in the morning, and between the villas there are still working rice fields.
Jalan Bumbak is its main street, and the address of The Umalas Signature, at No. 156.

Coffee, brunch and dinner
Our team counts 19 places to eat and drink around Jalan Bumbak, from bakeries to a steakhouse. Neighbourhood favourites include Revolver, Pizza Fabbrica, Rise & Shine, The Meat Emporium, 7AM Bakers and KAMA Warung.
Many are within walking distance; the rest are a short ride away.
Wellness, fitness and beauty
For a massage there are Puella Day Spa, Luxury Bali Spa and Komang Bali Spa; for nails and skin, The Nail Boutique, MOII Aesthetic Clinic and Skin Studio Aesthetics.
Fitness is covered too: Terra Physio, Revive+ Pilates and Infinitus, the rooftop gym of The Umalas Signature, with strength and cardio, a sauna, ice baths and a magnesium pool, free for our guests and residents.

Rice fields and the beach
Early morning is the best time to walk or ride through the rice-field lanes, before the heat arrives. From there it is about five minutes to the ocean: Batu Bolong and Nelayan beaches for surf, and the beach clubs of Berawa for the evening.
Everyday practicalities
Minimarkets, the Apotek Bumbak Medika pharmacy, a laundry (WashLab), scooter rental (GoBike) and a dry cleaner are all in the neighbourhood: the small things that make a long stay easy. Ask our team on WhatsApp for directions or a booking at any of them.
